Change

Writer's picture: William J.William J.

Change comes whether you like it or not. The majority of the time it’s necessary but we tend to be apprehensive to this because it’s an adjustment to our current status or norm. We’ve grown accustom to how everything in our life has become routine and we’re gliding through life on autopilot. Change is the turbulence that makes you clutch the seat, you begin to sweat as your heart rate increases causing a mild panic and you look to see if anyone else has the same reaction. But as you begin to survey your surroundings looking left and right, I challenge you to look forward. Don’t focus on how everyone else is adapting, turn your focus within yourself and find your peace. THIS IS NECESSARY, IT’S A MESSAGE FOR YOU TO TAKE HEED.

Your ego will always defend your current circumstances, but you cannot continue to lean on emotional crutches by staying small, being afraid, remaining controlled and refusing to take action. That reaction is all symptomatic of not wanting to lose that which is familiar, known, and dependable. If you want to change your life––to become the person you know you want and need to be––you don’t only need to master, cultivate and perfect. You have to choose. You have to let go.
